Policy & Procedures

1) A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to consider this an order and contract for services to be rendered in your behalf. The remaining balance is due two (2) weeks prior to the delivery date.  Any changes to this order must be made no later than three (3) weeks prior to delivery.  If order is canceled by client, cake cost is non-refundable, due to purchased equipment. Payment via cash, SQUARE or money order, and contract will be voided for non-payment and the customer must make other arrangements for a cake. ALL INVOICES MUST be paid within 24 hours to avoid CANCELLATION due to NON-PAYMENT.

2) In the case of fresh flower usage on the cake, the responsibility of the flower safety and safe food practices will rest with the florist and not with Blessed Hands Creations. The person placing this order should obtain a notice of plant safety, in question, from the florist.

3) All rental items will be for a two (2) day period. The day of the event and one (1) day after. A late fee of $35.00 per day will be imposed for each day the items are late.  Should any parts be not returned or damaged in any way, the renter will be responsible for the cost of replacing the entire item. (ie: cake stand, punch fountain, mirror, cake plates and/or pillars, etc.) This excludes if BHC’s workers are hired to cut the cakes.

4) The colors blue and purple or any shade of these colors cannot be guaranteed.  These colors are unstable and tend to fade and /or bleed into surrounding colors and frosting. Outdoor events there is no guarantee.

5) Be Aware: Ingredients or machinery may have come in contact with nuts, milk and wheat products.

6) In the case of an unavoidable occurrence, such as a car accident or poor road conditions during DELIVERY Blessed Hand Creations CANNOT be held liable for more than the price of the cake described in this order.

7) The client will provide clear driving instructions to location and inform Blessed Hand Creations of any adverse road hazards and/or obstacles that may hamper the delivery and quality of finished cakes. (PLEASE NOTE: excessive jarring due to “potholes”, road construction or unseen road conditions, will damage the finished product to an unstable and undesirable state.) Upon delivery, someone MUST be available to receive your product or cake and sign delivery contract and final payment, if there's one.

8) When delivering items, the venue must be cold to avoid mishaps. Frosting, sugar, and chocolate can melt in warm locations. BHC is NOT responsible for cakes collapsing, sugar, chocolate melting, or spoiled fruit .

9) Pickup Notice: All orders must be picked up one hour prior to event. Any late pickups will be charged $25 for first 30 minutes and $5 every minute after, and time will be calculated to ensure accurate charges. Failure to follow the rules of this contract will void your order, no funds will be refunded, and items will be sold to another needed client.

10) There's absolutely no cake replicating. We at Blessed Hands Creations like to use our talents by doing our own cake designs, or client's requested designs. We do not do “replicakes”. We will however, alter a cake to the best of our artistic abilities. Any cake or item requested to be “exactly” like the photo will be referred to the original designer or another cake decorator.

11) BLING! Edible Glitter is FDA approved and is non toxic. However, edible glitter can ONLY be consumed in moderations.  All glitter products will be put on non edible items (ie: dummy cakes, styrofoam, sticks, bottles, and paper). It may look pretty but it's not edible. BHC WILL NOT be held responsible for edible glitter being consumed if put on edible items.  

12) Invoices MUST be paid within 24 hours of receiving. If not paid in 24 hours by 5:00 pm central time, invoices will be cancelled and requested day will be given to another client.
